Great album title, but actually delivering.
Favorite album track ist the magical and intense "Hajnal comes"
Favorite track: Hajnal comes, by Z. Dzagnidze, H. Péter.
Shen khar really really potgotven
Shemkhudi (da) the Hajnal comes
( Are you really really ready
when the morning(sunrise) is coming )
It starts Hey, Hey, Hey !
It starts Cho, Cho, Cho!
(Cho = Yes)
Shemkhudi (da) Hajnal comes
(when the morning comes)
Ar mitkhari es I'm one ot mnogo
Ar mitkhari es I'm one ot malkoto
(Do not tell me that I am one of many
Do not tell me that I am one of the few)
It starts Hey, Hey, Hey...
It starts Cho, Cho, Cho...
We say Hey, Hey, Hey !
We say Cho. Cho. Cho!
JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
I say Hey, Hey, Hey...
i say Cho. Cho. cho...
When your rhythm is not mine
You throw darkness we throw light!
Erre barát mi falunkba fapapucsban járnak
De jól élik világikat akik ketten hálnak
Jaj de az én árva fejem csak egyedül hálok
Akármerre tapogatok csak falat találok.
Rengesd uram a gyermeket hadd menjek a táncba
Mert most vannak az asszonyok untig mulatságba
Végigfeslet a pendelyük a sok kuposgásba
Kimeredett a két szemük a sok kukucslásba.
Zuhanni kezd az éjszaka
Öltöztesd véres pirosba
Valamit szörnyűt tervez az ösztön
Kegyetlen titkainkkal.
Zuhanni kezd az éjszaka
Korán leszek fáradt
Életem görnyed a súly alatt
Majd a temetőben látlak
Zuhanni kezd az éjszaka
Párnát a pusztulásnak
Ne adj oda a fagynak
Ölj meg de ne hagyj magamra
Zuhanni kezd az éjszaka
Csak én látlak, várj,
Ne tiltsd el tőlem a vágyakozást
Hát miről álmodjak már?
Zuhanni kezd az éjszaka
Sápadnak a vágyak
Altasd el csendben titokban
Álmomat hogy véled háljam
Zuhanni kezd az éjszaka
Elhagyott egek
A semmibe viszem a testemet
Égig erő ének.
about
Lakvar ‘If the voice of a human being contains her entire universe, then it is the voice of Lakvar singer Hajnalka Péter. Her voice gives everything she is. And there is nothing more than giving oneself.’ Kincses Réka film director (for full statement see last page of this press release)
Lakvar are a Contemporary Folk Music group, founded by Hungarian-Bulgarian singer Hajnalka Péter and Georgian composer and guitarist Zura Dzagnidze. The band includes an array of talented and diverse musicians: Hungarian Jazz bass player Péter Papesch, Bulgarian-Turkish percussionist Tayfun Ates, German Jazz violin player Florian Vogel, Italian drummer Santino Scavelli and Lithuanian accordion player Aleksejs Maslakovs. Lakvar’s sound brings together the band’s musical and cultural backgrounds, drawing on roots in traditional Folk from East of Europe, Jazz, as well as progressive Rock and experimental influences. The music plays with darkness and light to create a unique sound. Strong and soaring melodies combine with complex rhythms, moments of stillness and fragility meet free and fearless improvisation and virtuosity.
Hajnalka's vocal character use different traditional styles to unlock gates to hidden emotional, emerging from the music like a mystical and ancient spell. Not limited by convention, LAKVAR take musical risks to break through the borders and boundaries of musical tradition and open up new path between them.
Eredics Áron (Vujicsics, Söndörgő, Hungary) on January 13th 2020 about the first CD-Release from the band Lakvar:
‘I think these days it is getting harder to take time. Giving yourself the time to be sensitive and opening yourself up for deeper experiences is not easy these days. Sometimes amongst the mass of worthless information, we need to find the moment when you find that time. This album is one of those moments of time. Let me tell you a story of when I first encountered with Hajnalka’s voice. I know her through my girlfriend and had heard about her musical talent but never heard her voice itself before. Hajnalka asked for my girlfriend’s opinion about a song which she was going to record. So my girlfriend put on the track and it appeared to be a field recording from Bulgaria with an old lady singing a lullaby. That was what I thought! It turned out it was Hajnalka. She had sung that lullaby. I was amazed. What I feel now when I listen to this record is some kind of ancient power paired with a great sensitivity. It is traditional and contemporary at the same time. This is a hard thing to achieve. Great music made with love for us all. It is truly worth taking your time for.’

Kincses Réka film director on Lakvar (full text)
If a person's voice encompasses their entire universe, then Hajnalka Péter's voice leads us to backyard in downtown Stuttgart, in bright sunlight, full of old and beautiful objects, lovingly collected, a puzzle from different times and traditions, with a great love for the archaic, folkloric, and cultural. In the middle of this vision is a table where you can always find sustenance, full of colourful fruits, dried tomatoes and spicy pastes, meat and onions. It is a place of Catholic bells ringing the hour, a Muslim headscarf voluntarily worn, a Protestant conscience bringing you down to Earth. Ten wardrobes stuffed full of clothes and melancholy, a home found in homelessness, freedom as a small crack between high walls, a bright sunbeam in the dark, the blonde in the black and the black in the blonde, the Hungarian in the Bulgarian in the Swabian. Is the Balkans a country or a state of mind or merely a prejudice? Too much food, too much pálinka, too much feeling, accumulation and waste, to transform, to buy cheaply, to recycle, to reinterpret, to repeat, to make the familiar unrecognizable, to mix, to recycle. It is the alchemy inherent in the imperfect, the feeling that turns everything dark into light, and bad luck to gold. The delicate that can kill. The roots are torn out, the earth has deep furrows and is churned, we drink coffee and pálinka from a bottle that will never fill up again, take a coach on a winding road, in the snow, the Alps, the desert, the walled-up wife , freer than her husband in the tower. The castle still standing. It is tradition as a mask and disguise, as a place of longing to be cared for in the open air. The mother is dead. The father is unknown. God the Gypsy help us. Only the ring and the message has survived. Are we a people, a feeling, or just an image in our heads? And if so, in whose? Her voice gives everything it is. And there is nothing more than giving yourself
